kitty and chester got married. private ceremony, i wasn't invited either...i hear those are real diamonds in her tiara...(i guess that was her bachelor party the nite before)
NATE!!!! he is NOT a good influence on kitty...it looks like he took kitty to cancun for spring break...that's it, kitty is not allowed to spend time with nate anymore. trashtrashtrash. this is not how i raised kitty...altho i bet there's some good 80's music going on...
the sartorialist (here) is having a contest of sorts...asking people to send in vintage photos showcasing great style. I submitted this photo of our dad...seriously, he was so handsome and full of natural style.
the problem with doing these doodles right on the kraft paper is that if i want to use the linework against a different background i've got to figure out how to separate it in photoshop...and i don't know a dang thing about photoshop.
you didn't know kitty was a high-powered executive? she runs the show. and me? well, I am very happy for my freelance-work-in-my-pj's status. she does sauce-it-up with her fishnets, tho.
I just posted this recipe on our new site "they draw and cook"...check it out...better yet, go to the site and scroll down to the artists submission place and send in one of your illustrated recipes. this is one of my favorite williams-sonoma vegetarian recipes.
you guessed it...she won an oscar for her performance in "cat on a hot tin roof"... designer "salliano" thought that layers + layers of petal pink tulle would be a purrfect dress for kitty.
aha! kitty has been in my closet and found my favorite orla kiely outfit from the "grey colt" and also has my orla kiely wallet. she had better be buying me a present...from the "grey colt".
kitty!!! it's 2010...not 1984. but i love my little knit texture pattern and i do still wear leg warmers (in the house...they're super cool w/ a bell bottom leg and a peace sign knitted at the ankle).
kitty is in the kitchen...she is feeling much more domestic than me today. remember, her outfits are made from patterns I have been creating for other projects and such ... in no way does her wardrobe resemble mine! (well, sometimes it does, but not today)
I am optimistic that the weather will brighten .... I re-colored this pattern from a previous design to remind the sun that we have missed seeing its shining face.
much thanks to Alex S. for introducing me to this site "lettercult". I'm becoming a lettering junkie and have much admiration for designers with an eye for the letter. here is my submission for the "letter A" category. and yes, I have a voice in mind for momma + baby "A".
