...just a little swirly sketch...sent off for a friends birthday...
today is the baby shower for my niece...this is always my 100% go-to food that i bring to events...cheese tortellini (with a quick pan fry), tomatoes, kalamata olives, mozzarella + basil kebobs. big flavor + big presentation!
...the beautiful blue ridge mountains are so dreamy...
I'm finally feeling warm after sooooooooo many cold + dreary days...this is outside the back door of my favorite store...the Grey Colt
now to get it printed out and framed! I had to get a little creative with some of the letters ... quack quack ; )
I'm working on this alphabet poster for my lovely niece julie who is having her first baby...the room is a sweet ocean/nautical theme....I need to get moving, the baby shower is next weekend. p.s. don't tell nate I'm working on this cuz I'm supposed to be doing some "less exciting" work for TDAC ; )

I was blown away when I heard that my holiday design won a Louie Award at the recent Stationary show in NYC....I sent my original concept (the aqua + white) to Great Arrow Graphics who changed up the color to this lovely copper ink against green. They are "Masters of the Color Universe" in my mind!!! Their beautiful hand silk-screened process took this card to the next level...they make all of my designs look SO much better! see more here

...so many fun things to share about my trip to nyc for the stationary/surtex show...but my side venture over to brooklyn was a hi-light!!!! found these luscious red shoes at "mongo" - 246 smith st. + spent a long time in my favorite boutique "swallow" - 361 smith st.
oh i know...i know...i just posted this on our studio sss blog...i'm not being lazy, really!!! i'll be headed to stationary/surtex show this weekend and trying to squeeze in as much as possible while in the city. galleries, boutiques, dinners, coffees...exhibits!!!!!!! ai-yi-YAY!!
I've started my next map...asheville, north carolina...my most favorite city...lots more to do before it's finished.

front + back of our new business cards...setting up the files for printing via moo.com was NOT easy (for me, anyways)
