headed to columbus for the opening reception for the new exhibit at CCAD (seventh dream of teenage heaven), curated by The Bureau for Open Culture (james voorhies)...
another page from the sketchbook project that i am not turning in...funny, once i made the decision to not submit my sketchbook i started turning out the pages quite effortlessly ; )
i did sign up for the "sketchbook project". the theme i chose was "things that changed other things". well...i have changed my mind about sending in my book. i might pursue it on anther level...i designed it as an interactive book. meaning that everytime someone read it + left their check mark, the book would change. so i'm keeping it going here in my studio...it's been fun seeing other artists post their pages on their blogs.
argh. i am having a very difficult time staying focused today. i'm like a bird flitting from one thing to another...hopefully tomorrow will be a more productive day.
brrrr....this photo was taken during one of our many icy winter days here in hudson ohio. this is the back entrance of my very favorite store (the grey colt) and yes, i did design the banner.
i've decided that in 2011 i'm going to start a post called "SPOTlight". i will be featuring artists that i admire and am inspired by their work. many will be artists that also follow my blog. first feature is kristen nohe. (she was my 100th follower!) wow. she is still a student and has done several recipes for TDAC and will be in the soon-to-be-published book! dang her work is great! check out more of her work here.
If you're here viewing and visiting my blog I say thank YOU! For some REALLY cool art and inspiration visit They Draw & Cook and They Draw & Travel (my brother Nate and I are the founders!)
