pumpkin pie

the story behind this little slice is indicative of how i work. i decided it was very very very necessary to clean my studio before starting any more projects. 10 minutes into shuffling through piles i discover a tiny little sketch i had done one morning while looking at holiday magazines (probably weeks ago). well what the heck, i just had to take a quick little break and get the design started so i could FINALLY throw the piece of paper away. mind you, i have stacks a mile high of sketches...everywhere! in the middle of creating this slice i started feeling guilty that i hadn't scrubbed bathrooms in awhile. so after 2 gross hours of cleaning the boys bathroom i come back to my cozy + cluttered space and relax back into finishing this design. so essentially it took me 5 hours to throw away ONE piece of paper!!!!!!! ha!

As far as working style... we have similar methods my friend. lol. If someone were to follow me around, they'd have me committed.

  3. You should see me darting around the house, going from working space to kitchen, bathroom etc. I got used to doing this when the boys were small - and as long as you can get your concentration back swiftly, what the heck - you get loads of things done, haha....!
